Sometimes, you just get a good feeling as you drive to a wedding. As I left Armagh the night beforehand, I just has a feeling in my gut that it was going to be a good day.
I made my way up the driveway to the absolutely gorgeous Rathsallagh House that morning, passing by old trees and barns in the hazy morning sun, on the way to the girls room to capture them getting ready.
And then I saw Roisins dress hanging off one of the gorgeous old wardrobes and instantly knew it had to be from The White Gallery girls (it was). And Fiona Murphy was doing make up…. Well, with that dream team and that setting, all we needed was the weather and happy faces. Needless to say, there were plenty of them in abundance.
Andy is from the north of England and I don’t know what it is about the people over there, but they are just so witty! The boys were just naturally cheeky chappies and it was hard not to laugh overhearing all their banter together as I took ten minutes out to record their groom prep that morning. This was a great prelude to the speeches later on, which had everyone in stitches.
One of the highlights of the day (and there were many) was the couples choice of music as they walked down the aisle – “All you Need Is Love” by the Beatles. Perfect.
Rathsallagh basked in the sunshine and all the guests mingled in the gardens listening to live folk music as the bees buzzed about the many flowers and shrubs.
Just a Perfect Day! Thank you Roisin and Andy and I hope you have a brilliant life together. Thank you so much for allowing me to snap alongside you.
Lets have a peep and reminisce at their day… x
